Concert Eve

The day of the concert has finally arrived. It is going to be great! We have some very talented musicians playing all day tomorrow to try and help raise some money for JDRF to find a cure to diabetes.

The first band (Racecar Racecar) will rock the stage at 11:00am. Gates open at 10:30am. Admissions will be at the entrance. It is a $5 minimum admission donation ($3 for children 5-12 year-olds) The entrance will be on the west side of the courtyard, straight across from the Performance Hall. There will be hot dogs, nachos, Pepsi drinks, chips, t-shirts, water bottles, and raffle tickets available. The grand prize for the raffle will be a Nordictrack iFit treadmill! There are many other prizes that will be available for the raffle.

There isn't a lot of grass in the courtyard, so I would encourage those who would like to sit to bring a lawn chair.

For Tomorrow We Die will be playing around 9:00pm. They just recently played at the Vans Warp Tour. It is bound to be a stellar performance!

There was an article in the Statesman today, so if you would like to learn more about JDRF and diabetes please pick up a copy on campus.

I hope to see you at the concert!

Wow! Less than a week!

Hello everyone!

There is less than one week 'til showtime! You will notice the Band Spotlight being changed a lot these last few days. There will be a change to the band lineup. Painted Still will no longer be able to play, but never fear....I have contacted a few more bands and hope to find someone awesome to rock that time slot. We hope to see you all at the show.

I also wanted to explain what to expect at the venue. The concert entrance will be just east of the Performance Hall on USU's campus. There is some grass, but very little. You can bring a blanket and try to get on the grass, but I would suggest bringing a lawn chair. Please see our previous posts for a map from Google Maps showing the location.

I put a link to the Facebook page on the right sidebar. Please invite your friends. It is going to be an awesome show!

Thank you!

More info for the upcoming awesome show!!!

Well, I know it has been a little while since the last post. Here is what is happening behind the scenes. We have Pride Embroidery and Screen Printing on board to help with t-shirts (I am really excited about the design!). Alpha Graphics will help with the posters. We have many sponsors who will be announced on the blog shortly. Wayne Manning from Manning Music has agreed to help with the sound all day. He did the sound last time and it was great.

We are close to having the band list completed (please keep an eye on the right sidebar for more info). This week we will know what location we will use. Just know that the concert will be rocking somewhere around the Chase Fine Arts Building on the USU campus.

Everything is coming together. I hope all the bands are excited to play at this concert. It is for a great cause, so I hope to see you all there! Which reminds me....I haven't really explained what JDRF is. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation helps in the fight against juvenile diabetes. Here is a link to their site, so you can better understand what they fight for. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
